Christmas Gift Guide: Christmas Hamper Ideas

A hamper is such a cute gift for anyone, and its a great thing to get someone if you’re stuck on what to get them! Places like B&M and Amazon sell ‘make your own hamper’ kits that include a hamper and some cellophane that you can fill up with whatever goodies you want. The great thing about making someone a hamper is that they’re incredibly customisable, you can spend as little or as much as your budget allows. If that sounds appealing to you I’ve put together a little list of ideas of how you could theme a hamper for your loved ones this Christmas.

1. A few of their favourite things

Kind of an obvious one, but giving someone a basket of all their favourite things such a nice present because you know they’ll love it all! You could sit and write down the first 5-10 things that come to mind when you think of that person and buy some of those bits to put in a cute hamper. For example, if they’re super into a certain sport or they love makeup or even if they love their coffee in the mornings putting all of their favourite things together is a great way of showing someone how well you know them. This one also gives you an opportunity to put lots of random things in that don’t necessarily go together because the only theme of the hamper is that person!

2. Favourite Food Hamper

Always a winner: buying someone food. I did this for my boyfriend for our anniversary and I think it went down pretty well! I got him some of his favourite chocolates, instant coffee, beer and some other things he wouldn’t usually buy for himself at uni like Pringles and pods for his coffee machine. To make it even better, I made sure to point out to him that I didn’t include anything that I would want to eat, that way he knew I wouldn’t steal any and it was all for him! Whoever you’re buying for, a hamper of treats will always do the trick, you could even theme it, for example if you have a vegan friend you could get them their favourite vegan snack food!

3. Hot Drinks Hamper

Along a similar vein, getting someone a basket centred around their favourite hot drink would make a great gift. If you’re buying for a coffee-lover then some different kinds of fancy expensive coffee, a nice mug (maybe a travel mug if they commute to work!) and some biscuits would be great, this works equally well if they’re more into tea, just switch out the coffee for tea! Even if they’re more of a hot chocolate kinda gal some fancy hot chocolate, a cute new mug and some whipped cream and marshmallows would definitely do the trick!

4. Pamper Hamper

If it rhymes then it’s definitely a good shout! There’s so much scope of things to include in a pamper hamper, some fluffy socks, new pyjamas, face masks, makeup, skincare, maybe a hair mask if they’re into haircare, the list goes on and on! You could even get one for your friend, double up on everything in there and have a cosy pamper night in. Top tip: include a film and a bottle of wine for maximum relaxation.

5. Sports Hamper

This one might not work for everyone but I think it would be a great gift for the right person! If you know someone who’s really into certain sport then I think a basket filled with things around that sport would be an amazing idea. Take golf for example, you could get them some golf balls, some tees, a towel for their bag, even a new glove or shirt to play in! Or football would work well too: you could pick up the new season’s shirt, maybe a photo of their favourite team, a team water bottle, or even a scarf or hat they can wear if they regularly go to watch the games.

I hope that’s given you some ideas if you were still wondering what to get someone for Christmas. I think a homemade hamper is such a nice idea for a present because every one you do is different tailored to fit that person. It’s also a great one if you’ve not done you’re shopping until the last minute and need to get something quickly! Christmas Party Beauty Essentials

‘Tis the season to be sparkly! I don’t know about anyone else but the reason I take my time getting ready to go out is because I genuinely enjoy the process of putting my makeup on, and that only gets better when I’m playing with glitter! In honour of the sparkliest season of the year I’ve made a little list of my Christmas Party essentials, keep reading to see what they are!

Flawless Foils - Rebound
Revolution Flawless Foils in Rebound

Glitter and sparkly eyes is obviously a must in the festive season, and this Revolution Flawless Foils in Rebound is perfect! It’s really inexpensive and such a gorgeous rose gold colour that goes with everything. They can be a little tricky to work with but once you get the hang of it the pay off is totally worth it!

Rimmel’s In Love With Ginger

I can’t believe its even taken me this long to mention it but surely everyone gravitates towards red lipstick this time of year? My favourite is Rimmel’s In Love With Ginger its such a bright red that looks just as great in the summer as it does in the winter for a super festive look. It’s also very moisturising which I really appreciate!

We probably all eat too much, drink too much and don’t sleep enough especially as it gets closer to Christmas. Be it present-shopping stress or partying into the small hours it can all take a toll on our skin, which is why a great concealer is always a must if I’m getting dressed up. The last thing I want is to be looking tired when I’m dressed to the nines so a safe bet for me is always my maybelline eraser eye concealer cover up that uni stress.

A great highlighter tops off a festive makeup look perfectly, I don’t like going without it! I think highlighters are as personal as your perfect nude lipstick, it depends if you like something subtle or blinding, glittery or that lit from within glow. Whichever way you lean I just think a little highlighter finishes everything off perfectly.

Finally, I had to mention a glitter eyeliner! If we can’t be extra at Christmas then when can we? My favourite is Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Midnight Cowboy because it goes with everything and never fails me.

That rounds up my Festive Party Beauty Essentials, if you’re going to any parties this year, well firstly I’m very jealous, but mostly have a lovely time and I hope this helped you in some way! Christmas Gift Guide: ASOS Gift Section

Whenever I’m looking for cute little presents for anyone I always check ASOS first. They have a really nice selection of affordable products and a nice range of different gifts so you can do most of your Christmas shopping in the same place! Here are my top picks from ASOS for this year’s festive shopping.

Stojo collapsable travel mugs

I just got myself a little travel mug recently and I’m really happy I did! It’s super handy to have when I’m at uni so I was really happy when I found this Stojo collapsable travel mug on ASOS! I love that it’s nice and compact so it wouldn’t take up too much room in your bag. There’s no excuse for getting single use cups anymore!

Root 7 reusable water bottle

Along a similar vein, I don’t go anywhere without my reusable water bottle, it’s such an essential! This Root 7 water bottle on ASOS is a really nice option if you want to get all your shopping from the same place but Chilly’s are of course another good choice with so many colours and patterns.

wxy. skin. scented candle

Another gift you can go wrong with is a cute scented candle. This wxy. skin. scented candle would look so nice in a bedroom or living room and I bet it smells amazing!

Fizz corgi mug

This mug okay… it makes me smile everytime I see it! I saw this corgi mug a few weeks ago and was considering getting it for Black Friday but it sold out! I’m hoping it comes back in stock soon is I can drink my morning tea out of it every morning.

Migoals 2020 planner

I’m such a planner I can’t function without my bullet journal! If you know anyone like me this Migoals 2020 planner would be such a nice gift for them because organisation is life ❤

I hope that’s given you a little bit of inspo when it comes to Christmas shopping this year, I also think lots of these would make super cute Secret Santa presents! If you did enjoy this post then I love for you to like and share it and subscribe to my blog to read more.

Christmas Gift Guide: Best of Boots

Boots is always a fab place for Christmas gifts. They have so much variety so there aren’t going to be many people you can’t find something for if you have look round! I’ve had scroll through the website and picked out some of my favourite bits from their Christmas gift section this year, keep reading to see what they are!

Essie Fairytale Slate duo

Essie nail varnishes truly are the best. They’re my go to brand for nail polish because they have such amazing colours and most importantly they take a good few days before they start to chip! They often sell little duo bundles and I think they make such a lovely gift. This Fairytale Slate duo kit is really nice for this time of year but you could definitely still use both the colours all year round.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

Another super reliable brand is NYX and their Soft Matte Lip Creams are legendary for their staying power, creaminess and low price point. Chances are if you’re buying for someone who loves their makeup they’ll either have tried them before or have heard all about them, win win either way! This set of three is a great gift because you get a few different colours but they’re not crazy ones you’ll never wear!

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Bauble

If you know someone who loves taking good care of their hair then this gift is the one for them. This Lee Stafford Coco Loco Bauble is so cute and would make a great present this Christmas! I also think it would be so cute for a Secret Santa present, its Christmasy and actually contains products you’ll use.

Liz Earle Discover Radiance set

Any skincare fanatics will have heard of Liz Earle, such a beautiful skincare brand with amazing products. This Discover Radiance set from them looks unreal especially as it includes probably their best known product, the hot cloth cleanser, as well some other really nice bits from their range.

Marc Jacobs fragrance gift set

If you know somebody who loves their perfumes then a little fragrance gift set will never go unappreciated! A gift set is a great way to let someone find something new and lets you, the person buying the present, give them a range of different scents if you’re not sure what they like! Fragrances are of course very personal but I think this Marc Jacobs set is a great option, Daisy is such a classic so you can’t go wrong!

I hope this was helpful in some way when choosing your presents this year, boots is always one of my first stopping points this time of year and they’ve made it super easy to shop by department so you can always find what you’re looking for. They even have a vegan section so its super easy to shop for your vegan loved ones.

ASOS Top Festive Picks

If Christmas isn’t an excuse to buy new clothes I honestly don’t know what is. Be it for a Christmas Party, New Years celebrations or a new pair of pyjamas for Christmas Day its totally understandable to get something for yourself when you’re shopping for others! ASOS is obviously my first port of call and I found a few great options for Christmas parties and pyjama parties alike, keep reading to see what I found!

1. The party dress

The party season is well and truly upon us so what better way to start this list. Firstly I think I might have found the party dress of all party dresses.

Love Triangle rose gold dress

How amazing is this Love Triangle rose gold dress?! It’s so beautiful and Christmasy whilst still being super girly. I know this might look a little chilly for the time of year but if you’re just hopping in and out of a taxi I’d sacrifice a few minutes of warmth for that dress!

Lipsy diamond dress

If you wanted to be a bit more understated I think this Lipsy diamond dress in black is an equally gorgeous pick. It’s also more covered up on top but still party appropriate. And better yet both of these dresses cost less than £45 each which I think is a great price for a nice party dress.

2. The shoes

ASOS DESIGN rose gold block heels

Next we obviously need some shoes to go with those dresses, and I think I’d probably wear these heels with either dress. These ASOS DESIGN rose gold block heels are such a good choice as they’ll go with so many outfits and the block heel makes them much more comfortable and easier to walk in.

3. The bag

ASOS DESIGN curved bar clutch bag

This ASOS DESIGN curved bar clutch bag would serve you through the festive season and beyond. It’s super versatile but the gold hardware makes it super Christmas-appropriate.

4. The Christmas morning loungewear

ASOS DESIGN lounge top and trousers

The bit we’ve all been waiting for: the comfies. This ASOS DESIGN lounge top and trousers combo looks so cosy I had to include it! I can just imagine sitting next to the tree on Christmas morning all cosy and warm… okay can it just be Christmas now?

5. The Christmas jumper

Brave Soul reindeer jumper

And finally, the best part of all: the Christmas jumper. I saw this Brave Soul reindeer jumper and I couldn’t resist, it just made me smile! This would definitely be a great option for sitting and eating Christmas dinner, I’d obviously size up a few sizes in preparation for maximum comfort during the feast to come!

I hope that’s given you some festive inspo if you’re looking to get anything for yourself this Christmas. If you liked this post please like and share it and subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a thing this December.

My Festive Favourites

Happy 1st December! I’ve seen so many people do some form of Blogmas and this year I wanted to get involved. Basically, I’m just going to try and post way more often this month in the run up to Christmas to get us in the festive mood. I thought it would be a nice challenge for myself and be interesting for me to see how much I actually can write about in such a short space of time! And what better way to start than by talking all about my favourite things about the festive season.

Allll the festive music

Some people hate this about Christmas, but I love hearing Christmas music in all the shops this time of year! Christmas music puts me in such a good mood so why wouldn’t I want to hear it everywhere? I’ll never get tired of hearing Michael Bublé everywhere I go this December!

Cute Christmas Films

I’ve already been to see Last Christmas (Emelia Clarke, Emma Thompson and a George Michael soundtrack? Yes please!) and it was so cute! I had such Faith in it (sorry I had to) after seeing the trailers and it did not disappoint. Next on my list to watch are the Grinch and my favourite festive film ever, Love Actually.

Cozy vibes every evening

The only positive of living in a freezing cold student house: snuggling down under blankets for warmth! Getting cozy with candles, blankets and a nice hot drink is bliss after being outside in the freezing cold, maybe even whilst watching a nice Christmas film..? Sounds perfect to me.

The “it’s Christmas” line

We all use this excuse for everything and anything this time of year, and I’m all for it. Chocolate? Its Christmas. Wine? Its Christmas. Going out for dinner when you’ve got plenty of food in the fridge? Its Christmas. Buying unnecessary new things? Its Christmas! It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite things about this time of year and that you’re as excited for the next month as I am! If you did enjoy this post then I’d really appreciate it if you could like and share it and subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a thing!
